Let's start with some Good News. As of today we are 2/3 of the way through "The Siege" of daily chemo and radiation. And Mom still has her hair! Her radiation oncologist has been calling her "Wonderwoman" because- up until last week- she was still driving herself in for treatments and going to work. The downside is that she has continued to have GI issues and- because the medicine is cumulative- chemo and radiation are starting to catch up with her. She gets really tired- I mean, Really Tired, easily. I joke all the time that she reminds me of a Dali painting the way she will run out of energy and just droop. But we have our eyes on the prize: a family vacation to Perdido Bay- on the Gulf of Mexico.
